Hi there! I’m Nathan “Nate” Obregón—but most folks know me as Nate from State Farm. I’m your local, reliable, and down-to-earth State Farm insurance agent based in the wonderful community of Schertz, TX, and I’m proud to serve nearby areas like Cibolo, Selma, Universal City, Live Oak, New Braunfels, Marion, Converse, Garden Ridge, Seguin, San Marcos, and all across San Antonio.

With more than 15 years of experience in financial services and commercial lending, I took a leap of faith and launched my own State Farm agency in the summer of 2020—right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. We officially opened on November 2, 2020, and it’s been an exciting journey ever since. Helping people protect what matters most has truly become my passion, and I believe being an insurance agent is my calling.

I’ve lived all over Texas—Dallas, Austin, Houston, Weslaco, San Benito, and Edinburg—but Schertz and the San Antonio area are where my heart found home. I’m a proud graduate of the University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley, where I earned both my BBA in Marketing and my MBA in 2015.

At home, I’m a proud husband to my amazing wife Terri (we’ve been married for 15 years!) and a dad to our two incredible boys, Ethan and Nathaniel. Ethan is wrapping up his time at Texas State, and NJ is gearing up for middle school. When I’m not working with families on auto, life, or fire insurance, I’m on the sidelines coaching flag football and basketball, out on the golf course, or enjoying some good old-fashioned saltwater fishing. I'm also a big fan of local restaurants—so if you've got a favorite spot, send it my way!
